DanceWorks Online has some key differences from DanceWorks 5.7 and 6:
- Information on Account, Student, Class and Staff screens requires clicking Edit and Save buttons to change and save changes to information
- There is no longer a System Password – instead, users can be designated as “Admin” to allow access to sensitive areas of the application
- Sessions are no longer separate database. Instead, all account and student data will remain accessible in every session and session data will include your classes, class enrollment and recital and costuming information specific to that session.
- Online registration is integrated into DanceWorks Online. When a registration is submitted, you’ll receive a notification upon logging into DanceWorks Online and be able to process that registration from within the DanceWorks Online application.
- Backup and restore are no longer included in DanceWorks Online. Your data is backed up on a regular basis and stored on multiple secure servers.
- All reports can be exported to Excel spreadsheets eliminating the need for a dedicated export screen.
- Custom Tuition tables have been replaced with Manual Account and Student tuition settings.
- Due to PCI Compliance requirements, credit card information is no longer stored directly in your database. Instead, if you use PowerPay for processing credit cards, DanceWorks Online will store a unique token for your credit cards on file that you can use for recurring or card on file payments, increasing your data security.
